In order to utilize the features of your new Cisco Webex communications system, you will need to install the Cisco Webex software onto your computer, smartphone, and/or tablet. The Cisco Webex desktop software can be downloaded and installed for free on Windows (32 and 64-bit operating systems), Mac (Intel and M1), and Linux (available in .DEB and .RPM formats).


Download and Install Webex for Windows


  1. Visit the Webex Downloads page at https://www.webex.com/downloads.html
  2. Click on the green button that says "For Windows (64 bit)" or "For Windows (32 bit)" depending on if your operating system is 32-bit of 64-bit (see photo below).
  3. The software download should begin. When the download is finished, the Webex installer download will appear in your downloads folder.
  4. After the download is complete, double-click the Webex installer file in your download folder and follow the prompts to install Webex on your computer. Note: you may require administrator permission in order to install Webex onto your computer. If this is the case, please contact your company's internal IT administrator or open a ticket with us if your company has an active Bestech Managed Services Contract (BMSC). You can open a support ticket with us by visiting support.bestsecuritysystems.us, calling us at 1 (844) 998-BEST (2378), or sending an email to support@bestsecuritysystems.us.
  5. When the installation is complete, launch the Webex application.
  6. Sign in to Webex with your work email address and Webex password. If you do not yet have a password for Webex, please check your inbox for a Webex Activation Email. Follow the instructions on the email to activate your Webex account.
  7. Once you sign in to Webex, you are ready to start using the Webex features that your company pays for, which could include any combination of Calling, Messaging, and/or Meetings. If you are unable to access all of the services your company uses, there could be a licensing issue with your user account. Please contact us and open a support ticket if you are experiencing these issues.


Download and Install Webex for Mac


  1. Visit the Webex Downloads page at https://www.webex.com/downloads.html
  2. Scroll down to the "Other download options" section.
  3. Click on the "Download Options" dropdown menu and choose the "macOS (Intel Chip)" or "macOS (Apple M1 chip)" download for your particular Mac (see photo below).
  4. The software download should begin. When the download is finished, the Webex installer download will appear in your downloads folder.
  5. After the download is complete, double-click the Webex installer file in your download folder and follow the prompts to install Webex on your computer. Note: you may require administrator permission in order to install Webex onto your computer.
